And I am Grateful

Several years ago I was forced by circumstances to re-consider what really matters. Life happens.

And I am grateful.

I have been blessed to know what love is. And I am grateful.

I have also been blessed to know what pain is. And I am grateful.

It's been a very long time since I've cared about holiday sales. And I am grateful.

I have everything I need. And I am grateful.

Random things like a hummingbird at my window remind me of my mom. And I am grateful.

My Thanksgiving will involve a nice meal, some wine, watching football and cuddling Mr. Bear. And I am grateful.

This weekend I will be well enough again to go to beach. And I am grateful.

I have a handful of very close friends with whom I have both laughed and cried - sometimes in the same conversation. And I am grateful.

My life is simple because I make it that way. And I am grateful.

I wish every person reading this post a simple yet wonderful Thanksgiving and a multitude of things to be grateful for.
